Component Repair Technologies, based in Mentor, OH, is seeking an entry-level Thermal Spray Set-Up Technician. This role supports the thermal spray technicians by preparing parts for restoration, configuring equipment, and applying masking. The successful applicant will undergo extensive in-house training.
Responsibilities include following safety protocols, performing grit blasting, and maintaining quality standards. Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent and some manufacturing experience is preferred. CRT offers comprehensive benefits including health care options, 401(k), and paid time off.
The entry level Thermal Spray Set‑Up Technician (Surface Prep & Blast Operations) supports the thermal spray technicians by preparing parts for dimensional restoration. This position primarily prepares and configures the equipment and materials for the thermal spray process. Technicians will apply masking to components for in‑process operations, conduct a variety of surface preparations using the blasting process on turbine engine components, and use a variety of materials following the established procedures for both masking and grit blasting.
Through our extensive in‑house training program, the successful applicant will be instructed via a series of computer‑based and hands‑on training, the necessary skills of the position.

Pre‑employment testing requirements may include fitness for duty testing, vision exam and respirator fit test. The role involves moving parts of varying weight using hoists, slings, carts or other handling methods, standing or sitting for portions of the shift, working in enclosed spaces, and using and maintaining safety and personal protective equipment.
