Job summary

Dell Technologies is seeking a Thermal Senior Principal Engineer in Austin, TX. You’ll lead the thermal design of AI, HPC, enterprise and storage products, coordinating with cross-functional teams to optimize cooling, power, and performance across processors and memory.

Responsibilities include evaluating product concepts for thermal feasibility, developing and validating thermal solutions, and owning thermal roadmaps.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering with a focus on thermal engineering + 15 years of relevant industry experience; or PhD without experience.
• Experience in CFD modelling for internal flow and electronic cooling applications.
• Proven experience instrumenting thermal tests and test plans.
• Strong communication skills with multi-disciplinary teams; strong drive to work through challenging compromises to achieve the optimal thermal solution.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of thermal design solutions for AI, HPC, enterprise and storage products.
• Work with cross-functional teams to deliver thermal infrastructure across CPU/GPU, memory, and networks.
• Evaluate architected products for thermal feasibility and design thermal solutions.
• Own one or more key thermal ingredient roadmaps for Dell.
