Job summary

AIRSYS North America, LLC seeks a Junior Thermal R&D Engineer to support two-phase fluid flow and heat transfer research for passive and pumped thermal management systems in electronic cooling applications. You will work with senior engineers to translate research into product development, perform CFD/FEA tasks, run experiments, and contribute to design optimization and technical publications.

Qualifications

• MS in Mechanical Engineering (or closely related field) is required; PhD preferred.
• Solid foundation in heat transfer, fluid mechanics, and thermodynamics.
• Familiarity with CFD and/or FEA software (e.g., ANSYS Fluent or equivalent).
• Experience with scripting/analysis tools such as Python or Matlab.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and with a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Support advanced research activities in direct liquid cooling and two-phase flow for thermal management systems.
• Translate fundamental research into high-performance electronic cooling product development.
• Evaluate customer application requirements and contribute to thermal design concepts.
• Conduct theoretical thermal and mechanical analyses, including sizing and optimization.
