At Blue Origin, we envision millions of people living and working in space for the benefit of Earth. We're working to develop reusable, safe, and low‑cost space vehicles and systems within a culture of safety, collaboration, and inclusion. Join our team of problem solvers as we add new chapters to the history of spaceflight!

This role is part of the Lunar Permanence business unit, which develops Blue Origin's Blue Moon landers and related products. To further Blue Origin's mission of millions of people living and working in space for the benefit of Earth, we are building sustainable infrastructure for our transport of crew and cargo from Earth to the lunar surface.

In this position, you will work directly with NASA as part of the Human Landing System (HLS) program. You will play a key role in developing the systems that will return humans to the Moon and extend human presence permanently beyond the bounds of Earth! We are looking for someone to apply their technical expertise, leadership skills, and dedication to quality to build the road to space. Passion for our mission and vision is required!

We are looking for Engineers to be responsible for thermal components from conception, through internal or external development, testing, and integration with the vehicle.

You will be part of the Thermal Design and Analysis group, which works closely with the hardware delivery groups within Lunar Permanence. Inputs to your work will include mission timelines, environments, and design and construction standards. Outputs will include component specifications, test plan/execution/reports, occasional thermal analysis, short/long term development plans, and make/buy decisions.

Contribute to a team of Thermal Engineers and Analysts simultaneously developing groundbreaking lunar landers. We are looking for someone to apply their technical expertise, leadership skills, and commitment to quality to positively impact safe human spaceflight. Passion for our mission and vision is required!

  • Perform trade studies and optimizations of solutions and collaborate with external subsystems on the trade offs
  • Document design and analysis results and present at program gated reviews
  • Communicate progress to leadership team via program management reviews weekly/monthly, finance reviews, long term forecasting business plan, and project deep dives.
