Job summary

Storm4 is seeking a Lead Thermal Engineer to spearhead the Advanced Cooling Lab and thermal modeling efforts in Phoenix. You will manage daily lab operations, run physical tests, and guide concepts through to client demonstrations.

Ideal candidates hold a Master’s or PhD in mechanical engineering or thermal sciences, with strong heat transfer and fluid dynamics knowledge and experience in MATLAB/Simulink and Cadence. This is an onsite role in Phoenix supporting relocation.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering, Thermal Sciences, or similar.
• Deep understanding of heat transfer, fluid dynamics, and cooling systems.
• Proficiency in advanced simulation and modeling software (MATLAB/Simulink, Cadence, etc.).
• Optional ability to translate complex data for non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations and safety protocols for the Advanced Cooling Lab.
• Design and execute rigorous physical test plans for new cooling technologies.
• Collaborate with internal teams to validate system modifications and develop new methodologies.
• Serve as the technical expert during executive and client demos, translating data into actionable insights.
