Role Description The Thermal Engineer will work on-site in Albuquerque, NM in a full-time capacity, focusing on the thermal design and performance of Sceye’s high-altitude platforms and related systems. Day-to-day responsibilities include performing detailed thermal analyses, modeling heat transfer mechanisms, and developing thermal management solutions for components and subsystems. The role involves designing and optimizing thermal control systems, selecting materials and insulation strategies, and collaborating with mechanical, electrical, and systems engineering teams to ensure integrated performance. The Thermal Engineer will validate designs through simulation, testing, and data analysis, support troubleshooting during ground and flight tests, and document technical results and design decisions. This position also includes contributing to continuous improvement of thermal design tools, methods, and best practices.
