Job Overview

Are you a skilled technician with experience in thermal energy systems and a passion for keeping facilities operating at peak performance? If so, DFW Airport is looking for a Thermal Energy Systems Coordinator to join our dynamic Energy & Utilities Services team!

This role is central to ensuring efficient heating and cooling across our terminals, helping support the critical systems that keep one of the world’s busiest airports moving.

What You'll Be Doing:
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and maintain thermal energy distribution systems across DFW terminals and pump rooms using BAS/DCS technology.

  • Serve as the go-to technician for hydronic loop systems, SkyLink stations, and auxiliary terminal facilities.

  • Read and interpret complex schematics and diagrams to guide installation, upgrades, and repair work.

  • Oversee or coordinate vendor and contractor work, ensuring alignment with technical specs and airport safety protocols.

  • Act as a project lead or coordinator for system modifications and repair projects.

  • Analyze mechanical system performance and recommend improvements to enhance energy efficiency and system reliability.

  • Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities using our CMMS database.

  • Collaborate with departments across the airport to address customer needs and resolve utility concerns.

What You’ll Need:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • 4+ years of experience in commercial cooling, heating, or thermal energy systems maintenance.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

  • Ability to pass a physical exam and respond to emergency call-outs, including on weekends and holidays.

  • Valid Class C driver’s license.
