Job summary

Altru Health System in Grand Forks, ND is seeking a Therapy Support Associate to assist physical, occupational, and speech therapists in delivering therapy evaluations and interventions. The role also coordinates patient schedules with the interdisciplinary team and supports basic cares, transfers, and mobility.

Candidates will help prepare supplies, manage equipment, and ensure timely patient flow. BLS certification and a valid driver’s license are required by start date; driving is occasional.

Qualifications

• Assists with coordinating patient treatment schedules with other disciplines
• Monitors, directs patients and visitors to meet needs
• Assists therapists with evaluation and therapy intervention
• Assists with patient mobility, transfers and lifting under supervision

Responsibilities

• Assists with coordinating patient treatment schedules with other disciplines using appropriate scheduling procedures and communicates changes
• Monitors patients and directs visitors ensuring needs are met and referrals as needed
• Assists Physical, Occupational, and Speech Therapists with evaluations and therapy interventions
• Assists with patient mobility, transfers and lifting
• Maintains equipment setup, cleaning, and use of basic and specialized equipment
• Prepares and distributes therapy supplies and equipment
• Performs patient personal cares/comforts
• Performs other duties as assigned to meet department needs
