Job summary

LCMC Health in New Orleans, LA is seeking a Rehabilitation Tech to support therapists and help patients progress in recovery. Under physician supervision, you’ll assist with treatments, maintain safety, and participate in routine clerical tasks to keep the team running smoothly.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, a current BLS certification, and experience as a Therapist Aide or CNA. A Bachelor’s degree is preferred and crisis prevention certification is a bonus.

Qualifications

• Experience as Therapist Aide or CNA is required.
• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent is required.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide physical assistance to therapists when providing patient care, seeking clarification on instructions as needed.
• Maintain a safe environment for everyone.
• Clean equipment per recommended procedures and follows established infection control guidelines.
• Log temperatures on refrigerator, freezer hydrocollator and paraffin units, notifying biomed and supervisor when temperatures are out of range.
• Follow the schedule provided by supervisor and therapist.
• Demonstrate flexibility with unanticipated schedule changes or departmental needs.
• Maintain inventory of supplies and distribute to appropriate areas.
• Perform clerical/administrative duties such as greeting, guiding and transporting patients.
