Job summary

Cynet Health seeks a Travel Speech Language Pathologist to provide comprehensive assessments and therapies in a fast-paced hospital setting. The role covers both inpatient and outpatient services, including complex cases with tracheostomies and neurocognitive evaluations.

Responsibilities include daily evaluations, MBS and Passy Muir trials, caregiver training, and cross-disciplinary collaboration with clinical teams. Florida license, CCC, and BLS are required for the assignment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of Speech Language Pathologist experience.
• Florida license required; CCC and BLS preferred.
• Must have CCC and BLS and Florida license.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily speech evaluations and treatments.
• Perform Passy Muir valve trials and tolerance trials.
• Conduct Modified Barium Swallow studies and cognitive assessments.
• Provide caregiver training and language assessments.
• Interdisciplinary communication with healthcare providers.

Description:Travel Speech Therapist position available.Facility has a general bed capacity of 289.Staff includes 2 PRN Speech Therapists and 1 Full-Time Speech Therapist in NICU, with an additional open Full-Time position for inpatient adult therapy.Primary responsibilities include conducting daily speech evaluations and treatments.Must perform Passy Muir valve trials and tolerance trials.Proficient in conducting Modified Barium Swallow studies and cognitive assessments.Responsible for caregiver training and language assessments, both expressive and receptive.Comfortable with interdisciplinary communication with healthcare providers.Candidates should be easily adaptable to a fast-paced environment and able to function independently, as you may be the only speech therapist for adult inpatient majority of the time.Must be comfortable conducting both outpatient and inpatient Modified Barium Swallow studies.Must be capable of treating patients in critical care settings.Must be able to care for patients with tracheostomies.Ability to prioritize patients across multiple units is essential.Availability to work two weekend days per month is required.Dress code includes light gray scrubs.
