Job summary

Cynet Health in Syracuse, NY seeks a Speech Language Pathologist for a 17-week therapy assignment in outpatient and acute settings. The SLP will evaluate and diagnose speech, language, cognition, and swallowing disorders, and develop targeted treatment plans.

Responsibilities include scheduling evaluations and treatments, educating patients and families, and contributing to program development within PM&R. NY licensure and CF year completion are required.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech Pathology is required.
• NY licensure in Speech Pathology required.
• Completion of clinical fellowship year required; pass pre-employment health clearance.

• Establish and provide treatment programs for individuals with deficits in speech, language, cognition, voice, and swallowing disorders.
• Schedule patients for evaluation and treatments; provide education to patients, families, and staff.
• Participate in program development for the speech therapy discipline, PM&R department, and service line; prepare reports and communicate with referral sources.
• Engage in community programs related to the service line.

Description:The Speech Language Pathologist will administer evaluations and diagnose speech, language, cognition, communication, and swallowing disorders.They will establish and provide treatment programs for individuals with deficits in speech, language, cognitive, voice, and/or swallowing disorders.The SLP is responsible for scheduling patients for evaluation and treatments based on their needs.They will provide education to patients, families, and staff regarding disorders of speech, language, cognition, voice, and/or swallowing.Participation in program development for the speech therapy discipline, PM&R department, and service line is expected.The SLP will prepare reports and communicate with referral sources and treatment agencies.Participation in community programs is also required.
