Description:The role involves providing occupational therapy services within a rehabilitation unit.Therapists are responsible for patient evaluations and treatment plans.Therapists will see patients for 90 minutes a day, divided into two 45-minute sessions.During weekends, if staffing is low and census is high, therapists may need to consolidate treatment sessions.The unit operates with various types of equipment to facilitate patient treatment.Documentation will be conducted using an electronic health record system.Scheduling requirements include working every Friday through Sunday, and one mid-week shift.Cross-training in acute care will occur during the assignment period.There is a floating policy in place if census is low.Previous acute rehab or acute care experience is preferred.All staff are required to maintain professional attire and wear identification badges while on duty.Candidates should be aware of unit-specific policies and guidelines.The unit has received awards for quality care and team engagement.The team is known for its tenured staff and a close‑knit working environment, with staff participating in various outdoor activities.
