Job summary

i-Health is seeking a Patient Services Representative Float to support patient registration, check-in, insurance verification, and scheduling at our Stillwater location and other OSI clinics. This full-time role requires strong customer service and clinic administration skills, with duties including switchboard rotation and care coordination.

Qualifications include a High School diploma, proficiency in Word/Outlook/Excel, and prior administrative or medical office experience.

Responsibilities

• Greet and register patients; collect co-payments, pre-payments, insurance information, and photo ID.
• Verify and document insurance information as defined by current business practices.

• Communicate all pertinent information to patients, including appointment times, directions, and copayments.
• Chart preparation and management.
• Maintain knowledge of health care plan requirements and networks.
• Coordinate switchboard duties and interpreters as needed.
• Perform other duties such as cleaning, laundry, rooming patients, and preparation for appointments.

Description

The Patient Services Representative Float is responsible for patient registration and check in as well as clinical support duties.

This is a full-time position, working Monday - Friday 6:45 AM - 5:00 PM out of our Stillwater location and other OSI clinics.

OSI is a physical therapy brand within the Therapy Department of TCO, the Orthopedic Division of Infinite Health Collaborative (i-Health). a group of local medical practices, owned and led by its physicians, on a mission to give patients more control over their healthcare.

Essential Functions

• Greet and register patients; collect co-payments, pre-payments, insurance information, and photo ID
• Verify and document insurance information as defined by current business practices
• Accurate and timely scheduling of new and existing patients in the current practice management system
• Communicate all pertinent information to patients, including: appointment information, directions, check-in times, referral information and copayments
• Chart preparation and management
• Maintain a working knowledge of health care plan requirements and health plan networks
• Maintain timely communication with patients, families, and staff
• Rotation of Switchboard Operator duties which include: accepting, handling and transferring calls, coordination of interpreters for clinic appointments, and coordination of patient referrals
• Any and all other duties as assigned such as cleaning, laundry, rooming patients, prepping patients for appointments, etc.

Education and Experience Requirements

• High School diploma/GED or equivalent
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel
• Customer Service experience required
• Administrative or Medical Office experience preferred

Working Conditions
