Job summary

South Texas Rehabilitation Hospital, part of Ernest Health, Inc., is seeking a PRN Therapy Patient Care Technician in Brownsville, TX to support patients and therapy staff under a licensed therapist. The role focuses on delivering supportive care, ensuring comfort and safety, and integrating the hospital’s guiding principles into daily practice.

Required: high school diploma or equivalent, CPR certification, and preferred one year of hospital experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• CPR Certification required.
• One (1) year experience in a hospital setting preferred.
• Knowledge of clinical operations and procedures.
• Demonstrates awareness of current Infection Control requirements and practices.
• Demonstrates clinical proficiency utilizing policies, procedures, and guidelines.
• Demonstrates appropriate use of supplies and equipment.
• Demonstrates general computer skills including data entry, word processing, email, and record management.
