Job summary

HonorHealth seeks an enthusiastic Therapy Services Aide I to support physical, occupational, speech-language pathology and audiology services in a Scottsdale facility. Responsibilities include preparing treatment areas, assisting therapists, and aiding with patient care across routine modalities.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, with a PT tech program preferred and prior patient care experience. BCLS certification is required as appropriate for the unit.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of a Physical Therapy Tech program preferred.
• Previous patient care experience.
• Basic Life Support (BCLS) required as appropriate for the assigned unit.

Responsibilities

• Prepares area, equipment and patient for treatment and cleans up area and equipment after treatment.
• Assists therapist with patient care for patients requiring assist of 2 persons.
• Performs modality treatments with correct parameters as directed by therapist.
• Observes/guides/assists/records patient performance with ROM, stretching and strengthening exercises, ADLs and dysphagia group.
• Provides ambulation training to patients who require minimal assistance or less.
• Maintains department/gym in neat and orderly manner.
• Returns equipment to Therapy Services storage area at end of day.
