Job summary

Nationwide Children’s Hospital is seeking a part-time Therapy Support Assistant. This 24-hours-per-week position offers evening shifts and seasonal variation in schedule.

The role combines administrative and clinical duties under direct supervision to support therapy services. Responsibilities include preparing treatment areas, maintaining inventory, assisting with adaptive equipment, transporting patients securely, and handling data collection.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• CPR certification within 60 days post hire or post expiration.
• Health care experience preferred; experience with children preferred.
• Excellent customer service and organizational skills.
• Ability to multitask and work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a safe and clean environment; performs routine maintenance and environmental rounds.
• Prepares treatment areas for therapy.
• Monitors and maintains inventory of supplies and equipment.
• Assists with fabrication and application of adaptive equipment, orthopedic soft goods, and splints.
• Assists with transportation of patients, records, equipment, and supplies while maintaining confidentiality.
• Performs general office duties and collects/reports data; coordinates volunteers and observers.
• Attends to patients’ personal needs during therapy under direct supervision.
