Job summary

Actwc is seeking a therapy aide to support our Raleigh and Knightdale offices. The role is split between both locations, totaling 30–32 hours per week and paid on an hourly basis. The aide assists licensed therapists by ensuring supplies and equipment are available and helps administrative staff for smooth daily operations.

Key requirements include strong communication and attention to detail to create a safe, supportive environment for children and adolescents receiving therapy.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and break down treatment spaces, setting up mats, pillows, and equipment.
• Clean and sanitize equipment and treatment areas.
• Ensure rooms have needed supplies and restock as required.
• Support administrative staff to maintain smooth daily operations.
• Assist in treatment with children and adolescents as directed by therapists.
• Participate in activities involving standing, lifting, and bending.
• Help with special events and therapy activities.
• Maintain tidy waiting and common areas.
• Shred documents and notify admin of low supplies.

Job Highlight: We are seeking a therapy aide to assist in our Raleigh and Knightdale offices. This position would be split with 2 days in each office, for a total of 30-32 hours per week. The therapy aide would e nsure the licensed therapists have the proper supplies, equipment and support to deliver treatment to their patients. They would also support administrative staff to ensure smooth daily operations. Key characteristics of this role include strong communication skills and attention to detail to ensure a safe and supportive environment.

Hourly position: $15.00/hour

Responsibilities:

• Clinic set/up breakdown: assist with placing mats and pillows, hanging up necessary sensory swings, bolsters, benches, equipment (gait trainers, walkers, Lite Gait).
• Cleaning of equipment and treatment space before and after treatment sessions. (swings, bolsters, trapezes, balls, tables, chairs, toys).
• Ensure rooms have necessary supplies. (eg. tissues, disinfecting wipes, sanitizer bottles that are full) Refill bubble containers.
• Laundry schedule for cleaning sensory pillows cleaning schedule. I just started that today to get pillowcases cleaned 5.
• Place laundry for pick up. Put away laundry/ towels once returned from being cleaned.
• Ensure that the toy closets remain organized, along with any other cabinets and shelving used for toys and supplies.
• Assist in treatment with children and adolescents such as getting a specific activity, helping to set up and/or whatever therapist suggests.
• Ability to participate in physical activity such as standing, lifting and bending for extended periods while involved in physical activity.
• Helping to set up/take down special events such as pool time, shaving cream skating, farm days camp days. Etc.
• Tidying up the waiting room and kitchen space.
• Shredding of documents, putting away supplies, notifying admin of any low supplies.
