Wexner Medical Center is hiring a therapy aide to assist in patient treatment across Rehabilitation locations, including acute and outpatient sites. Responsibilities include supporting department operations, maintaining equipment and supplies, and transporting patients under supervision of the Team Leader.
The role requires basic math and literacy skills, with eligibility to obtain BLS certification within six months.

The therapy aide assists in treatment of patients on assigned rotations, in addition to providing cross coverage of the Rehabilitation division's other locations/sites (Acute, Dodd Acute Inpatient, Outpatient Clinics), as need dictates. Duties relating to routine operation of the rehabilitation department, including department cleanliness, monitoring of equipment and supply inventories, maintenance and patient transportation may also be responsibilities of the aide. This position works under the direct supervision of the Team Leader.

Ability to add, subtract, multiply & divide whole numbers & to read & write simple sentences. Within 6 months of hire obtains American Heart Association Friends and Family emergency recognition or BLS certification.
Meets mandatory education and health requirements. Demonstrates competency in technical skills, interpersonal/interdepartmental relations, and cognitive skills to meet essential job functions.
The selected candidate must be willing and available to work 30-40 hours per week to ensure proper coverage to assist patients.
