Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Inpatient Rehabiliation Hospital in Beachwood, OH is seeking a full-time Therapy Aide to support therapists in providing comprehensive rehabilitation services. The role includes assisting with patient transfers, positioning, and transport to therapy sessions, under therapist direction.

The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent and BLS certification or completion within 90 days. Prior hospital experience is preferred and beneficial for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Certified BLS or completion within first 90 days of employment required.
• One or more years of hospital experience as a therapy aide preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with transfers and positioning as directed by therapists.
• Transport patients to and from therapy sessions and related activities.
• Assist with setup of equipment and preparation for therapy sessions.
• Support therapists with patient-related treatment activities as appropriate.
• Perform patient-related tasks assigned by therapists and document as required.

• Performs patient related tasks assigned by therapist
• Lifts patients to/from mats, treatment and tilt tables, wheelchairs and other equipment appropriate to the facility/department.
• Assists patients with transfer activities to all surfaces.
• Assists patients in donning/doffing all appliances specific to the facility/department.
• Positions patients in parallel bars and prepares patients for standing with appropriate orthotic/prosthetic devices and equipment.
• Transports patients to/from therapy as needed.
• Assists therapist with other patient related treatment activities as appropriate and providing equipment.
• Assist with patient related activities including equipment set-up and patient positioning in preparation for therapy session as outlined in the State Practice

Minimum Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent required
• Certified BLS or completion in first 90 days of employment required

Preferred Qualifications

• One or more years of hospital experience as a therapy aide preferred
