Job summary

Seacoast Mental Health Center, Inc. in Exeter, NH, is seeking a Full-time Youth and Family Therapist to deliver individual and family therapy, intake assessments, and group services within our Youth & Family Services Department.

The role collaborates with clinical managers, case managers, psychiatrists, school staff, and community supports to support children, adolescents, and families. Services are delivered primarily in the Exeter office, with opportunities for school and community-based work;

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a mental health or human service field is required.
• Licensed or license-eligible status in NH is required or pursued.
• Candidates should have strong interpersonal and collaborative skills.
• Experience with children and families or in mental health settings is recommended.
• Proficiency with technology including an electronic health record (EHR) and telehealth is valued.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and family therapy services for children, adolescents, and families.
• Conduct intake assessments and offer group therapy services.
• Work within a team model with clinical managers, case managers, and psychiatrists.
• Coordinate with school staff and community supports for clients.
• Deliver services primarily in office, school, and community settings; participate in training.

Key Responsibilities:

This role within our Youth & Family Services Department will provide clinical services to children, adolescents, and their families in our Exeter Office. This role will provide individual and family therapy services, intake assessments, group therapy services, and targeted case management. Youth and Family Therapists work within a team model which includes clinical managers, case managers, functional support specialists, psychiatrists and more. Youth and Family Therapists collaborate with external supports, such as school staff, community supports, DJJS/DCYF, and more. Youth and Family Therapists are eligible to receive training and consultations within relevant evidence-based practices. Services are primarily delivered in the office, school, and community settings.

Job Requirements:

• Required minimum education of a Master's degree in a mental health/human service field
• Must be licensed or license eligible (if eligible, shall seek license), in the State of New Hampshire
• Candidate must possess excellent interpersonal communication and collaboration skills
• Experience working with children and families or in mental health or human service settings recommended
• Skilled in the use of technology, including an electronic health record and telehealth
