Job summary

Highland Rivers Behavioral Health in Georgia seeks a licensed therapist to join the Wellspring Program. The role provides individualized case management and clinical responsibilities including referrals, screenings, assessments, and counseling (individual, group, family) with crisis intervention.

The position supports collaboration with DFCS, Wellspring, DJJ, and Juvenile court personnel to ensure continuity of care.

Qualifications

  • Licensed as LAPC or LMSW in GA.
  • 1+ years experience with individuals with severe and persistent mental illness.
  • Strong computer, organizational and teaching skills; able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Must be able to pass background check and drug screen.
  • Bilingual abilities a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Provides assessments, individual, family, crisis and group counseling per treatment plans.
  • Maintains collaborative service environment with the community.
  • Coordinates with DFCS, Wellspring, DJJ and Juvenile court personnel to ensure continuity of care.
  • Attends required meetings/trainings for Wellspring and weekly clinicals.
  • Completes paperwork and ensures eligibility criteria are met or refers to appropriate provider.
  • Manages caseload; ensures charting is complete and up-to-date, closes charts per policy.
  • Develops group curricula and calendars for crisis intervention.
  • Links with other agencies to secure needed resources for individuals.
  • Participates in developing a comprehensive individualized service/recovery plan.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Summary:

The Wellspring Program is a partnership between Highland Rivers Behavioral Health and the Wellspring Receiving Hope Center. The Therapist provides individualized case management and accepts clinical responsibilitiesincluding:referrals; screenings/assessments, individual, group and family counseling, and crisis intervention.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Provides assessments, individual, family, crisis, and group counseling for individuals according to their treatment plans; completes paperwork according to Policy and Procedure.
  • Participates in developing and maintaining a collaborative and cooperative service environment in the community at large.
  • Works closely with DFCS, Wellspring, DJJ, Juvenile court personnel to ensure continuity of care.
  • Attends required meetings or trainings for Wellspring, including weekly clinicals and .
  • Completes all necessary paperwork according to Policy and Procedure; ensures individuals meet eligibility criteria or refers to appropriate provider in the community.
  • Manages a caseload by ensuring all services are authorized, chart paperwork is complete and current, and individual charts are closed according to Policy and Procedure.
  • Builds group curriculum and organizes a calendar of groups for intensive crisis intervention.
  • Link and/or serve as advocate with other agencies to garner needed resources for individuals.
  • Utilizes the multidisciplinary assessment to participate in the development of a comprehensive individualized service/recover plan with a focus on recovery.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
