Job summary

Cypress Creek Hospital, a free-standing 128-bed acute care psychiatric facility in north Houston, TX, seeks a Weekend Inpatient Licensed Therapist to join our multidisciplinary team. You will conduct psychosocial assessments, develop treatment plans, and provide individual, group, and family therapy to patients, coordinating care with physicians, RNs, and social workers.

Hours include day, evening, and weekend shifts and may require on-call coverage.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology or related field required.
• Current Texas licensure as LPC/LMFT/LMSW or LCSW is required.
• Inpatient psychiatric experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform psychosocial assessments, treatment plan reviews, and individual/group/family therapy sessions.
• Collaborate with Physicians, RNs and the care team on crisis intervention and discharge planning.
• Provide education and advocacy to help patients access needed follow-up services.

Weekend Inpatient Licensed Therapist

Position Summary

Therapists are key members of Cypress Creek Hospital’s multidisciplinary team ensuring that delivery of high-quality and cost-effective healthcare is consistent with the mission, vision, and values of Universal Health Services and in accordance with government regulation, licensing, and accreditation requirements.

Hours are based on departmental, and facility needs and may include day, evening, and weekend hours, as directed by the Director of Clinical Services or CEO/Managing Director.

Job Duties

• Complete Psychosocial Assessments, treatment plan reviews, individual, group and family therapy sessions with established timeframes either face to face or telephonically with all patients, family, and significant others.
• Collaborates with multi-disciplinary team including physicians, RNs, and other healthcare team members in crisis intervention, creating behavioral plans, case conferences, client centered interventions and discharge planning.
• Conducts assigned therapeutic groups. Provides comprehensive education, instructions, advocacy information designed to assist the patient and significant other to identify and secure needed health care follow-up services.

Qualifications

Therapist Job Requirements

• Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology or related field.
• Current licensure as an LPC, LMFT, LMSW or LCSW in the State of Texas.
• One year of clinical experience in an inpatient psychiatric setting preferred.
