Job summary

Sojourn at Seneca Behavioral Hospital is seeking a Primary Therapist to join the new SUD Unit opening this Spring. You will provide individual, group, and family therapy, deliver psychoeducation, and assist in discharge planning as part of a collaborative treatment team.

The role requires a Master’s degree in a relevant field, Ohio licensure (LCDC/LPC/LSW), and at least one year of SUD counseling experience, with a focus on ethics, confidentiality, and evidence-based practices.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in social work, psychology or related human services field.
• Current license as a LCDC, LPC or LSW in the state of Ohio.
• Minimum of one year of experience in substance use disorder (SUD) counseling.
• Knowledge of ethics and professional standards.
• Knowledge of evidence-based practices.
• Understanding of substance use disorders and co-occurring disorders.
• Knowledge of HIPAA, confidentiality, and privacy practices.

Responsibilities

• Maintain open communication with facility staff, attending clinicians, physicians, clients, and families.
• Liaise with community agencies, vendors, and payers of health services.
• Review assessments from referring facilities and note problems requiring attention.
• Gather comprehensive diagnostic information through psychosocial assessment interviews.
• Develop an Integrated Summary to identify problem areas affecting treatment planning.
• Develop a comprehensive problem list reflecting client issues as described in assessments.

Be a part of Sojourn at Seneca's new SUD Unit is opening this Spring!

We are seeking a highly qualified Primary Therapist to join our team of healthcare professionals. As a Primary Therapist, you will have the opportunity to work closely with individuals facing substance use disorders, providing compassionate individual, group, and family therapy. In this role, you will have the opportunity to utilize crisis intervention services, deliver informative psychoeducation presentations, and facilitate experiential learning groups. Alongside our experienced treatment team, you will assist in formulating the Master Treatment Plan and coordinating discharge planning. Responsibilities

• Maintain open communication with facility staff, attending clinicians, physicians, clients, and families

• Gather comprehensive diagnostic information through psychosocial assessment interview

• Develop a comprehensive problem list that reflects client’s individual issues as described in the assessments and Integrated Summary


• Present psychosocial and diagnostic information to treatment team in a clear, concise manner

Requirements

• Master’s degree in social work, psychology or related human services field
