Job summary

Baptist Memorial Health Care is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to provide patient-focused respiratory care and participate as a clinical resource for care teams. The role requires RRT licensure and BLS certification within 14 days of hire, with basic computer proficiency in Windows and MS Office to document care and education.

Minimum recent clinical respiratory care experience is required; preferred is 1 year hospital experience. Orientation will be provided, ACLS is a plus.

A Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) demonstrates these skills by successfully completing examinations administered by the Nation Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) and earning the credential "RRT." A Registered Respiratory Therapist is able to assess, evaluate results, and implement complex methods of providing care. Participates in the delivery of care and functions as a specialty clinical resource for other caregivers. Provides a caring relationship that facilitates health and healing. Performs other job duties as assigned.
