Job summary

Baptist Memorial Health Care Corporation is seeking a Radiation Therapist to perform procedures and treatments according to radiation oncology standards to support diagnosis and treatment. The role includes accurate treatment administration, meticulous documentation, and participation in quality improvement efforts within the department.

Minimum requirements include ARRT Therapy certification with current registry and a state license as needed, plus BLS within 30 days of hire; proof of registry

Qualifications

• ARRT Therapy certification and state license as required.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
• Proof of registry available within 60 days of graduation.
• Basic computer literacy required.

• Demonstrates a thorough understanding of Radiation Oncology principals/theory and utilizes the most appropriate technique and positioning for optimal procedures/treatments, as demonstrated by procedure/treatment results.
• Administers appropriate procedure/treatment plan.
• Completes documentation as required to comply with hospital policies and procedures.
• Maintains equipment, procedure/treatment rooms, and work areas in a neat and safe condition to ensure the safety of patients and staff.
• Participates in hospital and departmental Performance Improvement activities to ensure that patient care is consistent with established standards.
• Completes assigned goals.

• Registered by American Registry of Radiologic Technologists ARRT with current registry in Therapy (ARRT)(T) or new graduate who is waiting to take the registry. Proof of registry (by primary source) must be available within 60 calendar days of graduation. Must also possess State License if required by state. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire date.
