Qualifications

• Education: Master’s degree in social work and ability to obtain license (LCSW, LPC-MHSP, or Psychologist) within 30–60 days.
• Three years of clinical behavioral health experience required, including adults, children, couples, and families.
• Knowledge of DSM-V diagnoses; PTSD expertise preferred.
• TRICARE certification/licensure required or to be attained.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct services including treatment for Veterans and families.
• Perform and document screenings, psychosocial assessments, and progress/referral info.
• Conduct clinical intake assessments for veterans and families as needed.
• Provide individual, couples, and family psychotherapy using evidence-based treatments.
• Collaborate with caregivers, physicians, clinic director, case management and other disciplines.
• Attend weekly clinical, supervision, and administrative meetings.

JOB DESCRIPTION: SUMMARY OF POSITION

The Steven A. Cohen Military Family Clinic offers a variety of services to post 9/11 Veterans, Active-Duty Service Members, Reservists, National Guard and their family members. Therapist will provide evidence-based therapy to individuals, couples and families. The Steven A. Cohen Military Family Clinic has a commitment to training, consultation and proficiency in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy, and Prolonged Exposure. Therapist will deliver short-term treatment, 8-12 sessions. Therapists at this location have manageable caseloads, well designed work schedule and consistent clinical support. Salary is commensurate with a General Schedule (GS) 12 for this region. The Therapist will support the Centerstone Mission, Vision and Values in delivering care that changes people's lives. Therapist will communicate clearly and appropriately; provides excellent customer service. Clinic requires one late day until 7pm. Clinic hours are Monday 8-5pm, Tuesday 8-7pm, Wednesday 8-7pm, Thursday 8-5pm, Friday 8-12pm

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provides direct services including treatment for Veterans and their families.
• Performs and documents patient’s screenings, psychosocial assessments, and progress and referral information.
• Conducts clinical intake assessments on veterans and family members as needed.
• Provides individual, couples, and family psychotherapy to clients, with a focus on delivering evidence-based treatments.
• Collaborates and coordinates with the caregiver, physician, clinic director, case management and all other disciplines to provide the best care to patients as needed.
• Attend weekly clinical, supervision, and administrative meetings.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

• Excellent written and oral communication skills are required.
• Must be highly organized, detail oriented, and reliable.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Education Level Master's degree in social work required. and ability to obtain and maintain license to independently practice as an LCSW, LPC- MHSP, or Psychologist in applicable state within 30-60 days.
• Years of Experience Three years' clinical experience in behavioral healthcare required. This may be fulfilled through clinical practicums or internships completed as part of a master's degree program.
• Experience working with adults, children, couples, and families is required.
• Knowledge in DSM-V diagnoses is required.
• Experience in PTSD diagnosis and treatment is required.
• Certification or documented proficiency in one or more of the following Evidenced Based Practices is preferred: Prolonged Exposure Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Cognitive Processing Therapy.
• Experience across a range of modalities beyond individual adult treatment to include child, couples, and family treatment is preferred.
• Experience working with a military or veteran population to include cultural competence is preferred.
• Experience treating and diagnosing depression, anxiety, bereavement, relationship/family issues, and substance use disorders is preferred.
• Certification/Licensure Must be certified as an LCSW, LPC- MHSP, or Psychologist in applicable state. Ability to be a TRICARE certified mental health counselor (TCMHC) is required.

Starting Salary Range

$84,000 - $87,000
