Job summary

Columbia River Mental Health Services in Vancouver, WA is seeking a Therapist II for the Central Intake Unit. This full-time position offers a competitive hourly wage and a $2,500 hiring bonus.

Provide initial diagnostic interviews for adults, mental health and chemical dependency assessments, treatment planning, individual and group therapy, and crisis intervention as needed. Must have a Master’s in Behavioral Science and licensure with 2–3 years of clinical experience; union role under OPEIU

  • Provide crisis intervention services as needed.
  • Establish therapeutic relationships with clients and ensure privacy and dignity.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct diagnostic interviews to determine eligibility for CRMHS services.
  • Provide mental health and chemical dependency treatment planning and therapy.
  • Facilitate individual and group therapy as appropriate.
  • Conduct crisis intervention and follow-up as required.
  • Identify referrals and information for clients not eligible for services.
  • Maintain required paperwork and charting per agency contracts.
  • Facilitate and process groups.

Starting Pay Range -$28.13-$32.11 /hr

Summary:

Provide initial diagnostic interview for adult consumers to determine eligibility for CRMHS services.

This is a Union role, represented by OPEIU 11.

  • Provide clinical services to include mental health and chemical dependency assessment, including biopsychosocial intake, treatment planning, individual and/or group therapy to consumers.
  • Provide crisis intervention services to assigned consumers as necessary.
  • Establish appropriate and therapeutic relationships with assigned clients.
  • Provide information and referral to consumers who are not eligible for services
  • Possess knowledge of consumer rights and ensure an atmosphere that allows for consumer privacy, dignity, and well-being in a safe secure environment.
  • Telephone marketing/outreach to potential referral sources in the community.
  • Send follow-up letters to persons who failed intake appointments.
  • Maintain all required paperwork/charting requirements as established by agency contracts.
  • Facilitate and process groups.

Non-essential Job Functions:

  • Attend staff and planning meetings as scheduled.
  • Maintain communication & cooperative working relationships both within the agency and community.
  • Other duties as assigned by Supervisor Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

Education, Licensing and Experience:

  • Experience in providing treatment to persons with mental illness or severe emotional disturbances, conducting mental health assessments, providing individual counseling, case management and treatment planning services preferred.
  • Master’s Degree in Behavioral Science
  • LICSWA, LMHCA, LICSW or LMHC license
  • MHP eligible
  • At least 2-3 years of strong clinical service

Competencies, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Must have a wide knowledge base required roles of various personnel and programs in the agency and community.
  • Interpersonal, decision making, judgment, supervisory, leadership and communication skills.
