Job summary

SpectraCare Health Systems, Inc. is seeking a Therapist I/Counselor for The Haven to provide comprehensive therapeutic services to clients in our substance abuse program.

The role requires facilitating individual, couple, family, and group therapy using diverse techniques, while maintaining accurate clinical records in the EHR system. Work hours are Monday–Friday, 8am–4:30pm, with crisis response as needed.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Psychology, Social Work or related field required or
• MS degree in Psychology, Social Work or related field with completion of a relevant clinical practicum preferred
• Must have a good motor vehicle record and be willing to submit to MVR check
• Prefer substance abuse certification from relevant boards; if not licensed, willingness to obtain within 2 years of hire
• If in recovery, must have at least 3 years of verifiable sobriety

Therapist I/Counselor-The Haven

The Therapist / Counselor in this position will provide therapeutic services to clients of SpectraCare's substance abuse program at The Haven.

Work hours of this position are Monday- Friday 8am-4:30pm

• Documenting and updating clinical records using an electronic health record system


• Coordinate with community agencies and programs for services as needed such as sober living homes, DHR, AA, various other civic and religious groups


• Responds to crisis situations as needed

Requirements

• BS degree in Psychology, Social Work or related field required or


• MS degree in Psychology, Social Work or related field with completion of a relevant clinical practicum preferred

• Prefer substance abuse certification from the Alabama Association of Addiction Counselors, National Association of Alcoholism and Drug Abuse Counselors, Alabama Alcohol and Drug Association or International Certification and Reciprocity Consortium. If not previous certified or licensed as an LPC, LICSW or LMFT, must be willing to obtain certification within (2) years of hire


• If in recovery, must have at least (3) years of verifiable sobriety
