Job summary

Novant Health's Rowan Medical Center in Salisbury, NC seeks a Therapist I to join our Behavioral Health Team. You will work to support the quality of life for every patient and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide compassionate care.

The schedule is 8:00AM-4:30PM, Monday through Friday with some weekends. The role requires a graduate degree and licensure/associates; experience preferred; remote work not offered. Be part of a team that honors dignity, growth, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Graduate Degree required; Master's Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling or related field.
• One year of experience (including internships or pre-doctorate residencies) preferred.
• Licensure/Certification: LCSW-A, LMHC-A or LPA; supervised practice required; NC curricula for restrictive interventions within 3 months; remote-only staff exempt; NEC0170 De-escalation Techniques and Effective Communication within 3 months; Notary Public preferred.

What We're Looking For

• Education: Graduate Degree, required. Master's Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling or related field.
• Experience: One year experience (including internships or pre-doctorate residencies), preferred.
• Licensure/Certification: Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate, Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate or Licensed Psychological Associate. Supervise in Social Work, Resident in Counseling or Psychology Resident, required. NC state approved curricula for restrictive interventions within 3 months of hire. Team members in strictly remote positions are exempt. Team members working strictly in behavioral health outpatient clinics are exempt from state approved curricula but are required to take NEC0170 De-escalation Techniques and Effective Communication Strategies within 3 months of hire, required. Notary Public, preferred.
• Additional Skills (required): Good working knowledge of computers. Ability to care for behavioral health and substance used disorder age-specific populations.
• Additional Skills (preferred): Rehab dept only: Experience working with people with physical disabilities.
