University Behavioral Center, part of Universal Health Services, is seeking a qualified Program Therapist in Orlando, FL. The facility provides inpatient psychiatric care for children to adults with co-occurring disorders.

The role includes delivering various psychotherapeutic services and discharge planning within a 112-bed campus. Qualified candidates hold LCSW or LMHC licensure in Florida and have at least 1 year of relevant clinical experience in psychiatric settings.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in inpatient/outpatient psychiatric settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual, group and family therapy as part of inpatient/outpatient care.

Our mental health facility provides safe and effective inpatient treatment to assist individuals in leading more productive and fulfilling lives. The facility is located on a beautiful 14-acre campus in Orlando, Florida, and includes 112 licensed beds. We are currently seeking qualified professionals with active/clear license in the state of Florida. Previous experience in a psychiatric facility or rehabilitation program is required.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Program Therapist performs social services functions to include assisting patients in meeting their biopsychosocial needs while enabling them to access, through therapeutic treatment skills to achieve their optimal level of emotional health, including providing basic consultation, teaching, complete specialized clinical social work services for individuals/families receiving care, crisis intervention, short-term and long-term family therapy, group therapy, providing information and referrals as needed, and individual therapy when ordered by a MD. Provides variety of psychotherapeutic services, group, family, individual to individuals in psychiatric hospital setting, presenting with co-occurring disorders, psychiatric disorders, substance abuse disorders and other behavioral disorders. Provides social services, including, but not limited to discharge planning.

This is a Full-Time position.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

• LCSW or LMHC (Licensed in the State of Florida)
• Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in an inpatient/outpatient psychiatric setting preferred

Knowledge and Skills:

• Strong therapeutic skills and knowledge of therapeutic philosophies (group and individual treatment skills)
• Working knowledge of developmental stages
• Some minimal knowledge of community resources
• Ability to communicate effectively with varied ability to understand
• Strong assessment skills and ability to intervene in a variety of situations
