Job summary

Volunteers of America Ohio & Indiana seeks a licensed therapist to join our recovery programs. The Therapist conducts pre-screens, biopsychosocial assessments, and treatment plans, delivering substance abuse treatment to assigned clients within DMHA, DCS, CARF, and Medicaid guidelines.

Master's degree required in Psychology or Sociology; valid license (LSW or higher, LMCHA or higher, LAC or higher). Some evening hours may be requested; join a compassionate team focused on holistic client care.

Qualifications

• Ability to conduct individual and group counseling.
• Maintain client records; some evening hours may be requested.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-screens, biopsychosocial assessments, and treatment planning.
• Provide substance abuse treatment to assigned clients in compliance with VOA, DMHA, DCS, CARF, and grant standards.
• Collaborate with treatment team to deliver comprehensive care.
• Document sessions and progress notes accurately.

The Therapist is responsible for completing pre-screens, biopsychosocial assessments, treatment plans, and substance abuse treatment to assigned clients in accordance with Volunteers of America (VOA), Division of Mental Health and Addictions (DMHA), The Department of Child Services (DCS), Medicaid, Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) and grant providers’ standards. Our goal is to meet the daily needs of our clients.
