Newport Mental Health in Middletown, RI seeks licensed Master’s level clinicians to deliver assessment and treatment to adults on our Adult Outpatient team on a part-time basis.

You will provide group, individual and family therapy, conduct assessments, and help develop recovery plans, while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team in a supportive, mission-driven organization.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy or related field.
• Licensed at independent practice level per Rhode Island DOH (LICSW, LMHC, PhD).
• Minimum of two years of clinical work experience.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with a positive outlook on change.
• Open to learning and enhancing skills.

Responsabilités

• Provide group, individual and family therapy to adults.
• Conduct diagnostic assessments including initial intakes and ongoing assessments.
• Develop person-centered recovery plans with clients.
• Provide clinical consultation to case management staff.
• Complete agency records with collaborative documentation.
• Participate in crisis response services including risk assessment and stabilization.
• Coordinate referrals with law enforcement, community agencies, schools and medical facilities.
• Engage in effective team communication to ensure appropriate services.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING (ESSENTIAL DUTIES)…

We are seeking licensed Master’s Level Clinicians to provide assessment and treatment to adults on our Adult Outpatient team on a part-time basis. In this position you will have a critical role both delivering direct services and as a clinical consultant to the multi-disciplinary team.

• Provide group, individual and family therapy to clients as required.
• Conduct diagnostic assessments including initial intakes and on-going assessments.
• Work with service recipients to create person-centered recovery plans.
• Provide clinical consultation and guidance to case management staff.
• Complete all agency records utilizing a collaborative documentation approach.
• Participate in crisis response services providing risk assessment, crisis intervention, stabilization and counseling, and assessment for hospitalization.
• Serve as a client advocate with appropriate and timely referrals to other agencies, provide consultation and follow-up communication with law enforcement agencies, community agencies, schools, medical facilities and inpatient units.
• Actively participate in team communication processes that ensure appropriate services and outcomes.
