Job summary

NYAP is seeking an experienced clinician to provide counseling, advocacy, and family support to children and families in Lafayette, IN. You will work with youth, foster parents, and partners to help communities live safely and successfully in their homes and neighborhoods.

The role requires a Master’s degree in Social Work or related field, plus licensure readiness; travel to client sites is expected, and flexible hours are available to accommodate families.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Social Work or comparable Human Services field from an accredited institution.
• 2 years of work experience in direct service with youth and families strongly preferred.
• Must have a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, automotive insurance, and a good driving record.
• Willingness to work flexible and non-traditional hours in service of foster caregivers, families of origin, and persons served.
• Capacity to be flexible and responsive to youth, families, and system partners.
• Proficient use of computers and software including word processing, spreadsheet and database programs.

Responsibilities

• Actively supports, represents, and extends the mission, vision, and values of the organization.
• Provides individual, group, and family mental health services, case management, transportation, and other professional services meeting outcomes.
• Travels daily to provide community-based services to youth and families in compliance with requirements.
• Consistently achieves established productivity thresholds.
• Coordinates and monitors services across mental health, medical, educational, and social services.
• Reviews and updates youth plans to ensure progress and progress toward goals.

Compensation- Starting salary is $60,000/yr. depending on experience and licensure.

Position Summary

Under the general supervision of the Clinical Supervisor or designee, this position works to make a meaningful difference in the lives of the children and families served. This position works closely with youth, family, foster parents, and community partners, providing counseling or therapy, advocacy, and support toward the ultimate goal of living safely and successfully in the community.

Responsibilities

• Actively supports, represents, and extends the mission, vision, and values of the organization.
• Provides appropriate individual, group, and family mental health services, case management, transportation, and other professional services, meeting or exceeding established outcomes thresholds on behalf of persons served.
• Travels daily, to provide community based services to, and on behalf of, youth and families in compliance with organizational, contract, and regulatory requirements.
• Consistently achieves established productivity thresholds.
• Coordinate and monitor services for the youth and family in the community, including but not limited to, mental health, medical, educational, psychological, vocational, and social services.
• Regularly reviews and modifies youth based plans to assure consistent progress and success on written plan goals.
• Establishes and maintains strong relationship with assigned foster parents and families of origin.
• Assists in family reunification and/or stabilization efforts with the youth’s primary family or other permanent living arrangement consistent with the youth’s case plan.
• Provides safety assessment, crisis response, and behavioral stabilization services as required to assure safety and stability for youth served

Minimum Qualifications

• Proficient use of desktop and laptop computers, smartphones and tablets, printers, fax machines and photocopiers as well as software including word processing, spreadsheet and database programs.
