Job summary

Peak Behavioral Health in Las Cruces, NM seeks a Therapist I to join a multidisciplinary team. The role focuses on psychosocial assessments, developing treatment plans, and delivering individual, group, and family therapy to patients and families. A $10K sign-on bonus is offered.

The Therapist I will coordinate with the treatment team, facilitate psycho-educational activities, and ensure comprehensive discharge planning, while maintaining clinical documentation and linkage to community resources.

Qualifications

  • Requires a Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, or Psychology.
  • At least one year of experience as a therapist with all age groups.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct psychosocial assessments and develop initial discharge plans.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans based on assessments.
  • Conduct individual, group, or family sessions as part of treatment.
  • Apply psychotherapeutic techniques for emotional and behavioral disorders.
  • Maintain caseload and prepare progress notes in the medical record.
  • Provide crisis intervention to patients and families in distress.

## Therapist 1Applylocations: Peak Behavioral Healthposted on: Posted Yesterdayjob requisition id: JR126460Therapist 1 | Peak Behavioral Health | Las Cruces, New Mexico**About the Job:**\*\*\*\* $10K Sign on Bonus\*\*\*\* The Therapist I is a part of the multidisciplinary team responsible for providing direct clinical services to patients and their families with most emphasis on completing Psychosocial Assessments; providing individual, group and family therapy for patients; facilitating psycho-educational training, family meetings, discharge planning; assisting in program development; developing, implementing, and reviewing Treatment Plans; and providing linkage to outside resources.**Roles and Responsibilities:**· Conducts a psychosocial assessment and develops an initial discharge plan.· Develops and implements treatment plans for patient based on assessment and coordinates any additional services needed, revising as necessary.· Conducts individual, group or family sessions as appropriate for the treatment plan of the patient.· Applies psychotherapeutic techniques and interventions in the delivery of services to individuals and families for the purpose of treating such diagnosed emotional and behavioral disorders.· Participates in multi-disciplinary treatment planning conferences. Presents appropriate patient information to the treatment team. Recommends effective treatment interventions.· Maintains a caseload as assigned.· Develops and implements special patient groups or program modules.· Timely prepares progress notes and treatment updates in the medical record. Maintains all clinical documentation in accordance with regulatory and accrediting standards.· Ensures each assigned patient has a structured and clinically appropriate post hospitalization care plan. Acts as Liaison to referral sources and support of continuation of care.· Provides crisis intervention to patients and families in acute distress.· Provides introduction and initial coordination of wide range of community resources: financial, housing, legal, social/recreational, occupational, spiritual and support groups.· May perform case management, discharge or after care planning as needed.· Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling or Psychology required.· Requires at least one year of experience as a therapist with all age groups.Why Peak Behavioral Health?Peak Behavioral Health offers a comprehensive benefit plan and a competitive salary commensurate with experience and qualifications.
