Job summary

Health Connect America in North Carolina is seeking a licensed therapist to provide high-quality behavioral health services to youth and families in community settings. You will conduct assessments, treatment planning, individual, family, and group therapy, and collaborate with schools and care teams to promote meaningful progress.

Success requires strong clinical skills, empathy, and clear documentation. Responsibilities include crisis intervention, safety planning, and tailoring interventions

Qualifications

• Master's degree required in SW, Counseling or related field.
• Associate license (LCSWA or LCMHCA) required.
• Experience with evidence-based behavioral health approaches preferred.
• Strong documentation and communication skills.

As a Therapist at Health Connect America, you'll provide high-quality therapeutic services that support emotional wellness, strengthen coping skills, and promote lasting positive outcomes. Through assessment, treatment planning, therapy, crisis intervention, and collaboration, you'll play an important role in helping clients achieve meaningful progress in their lives.

What You'll Do

As a Therapist, you'll provide individualized behavioral health services while partnering with families, treatment teams, and community resources to support client success. Day to day, you can expect to:

• Conduct comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments and utilize evidence-based assessment tools to identify client strengths, needs, and treatment recommendations


• Develop individualized treatment plans with measurable goals and objectives in collaboration with clients, families, and multidisciplinary treatment teams


• Provide individual, family, and group therapy using evidence-based interventions to address concerns such as anxiety, depression, trauma, behavioral challenges, and other mental health conditions


• Monitor client progress, maintain ongoing communication and follow‑up, and adjust treatment interventions to support positive outcomes


• Provide crisis intervention, safety planning, and referrals to additional resources and support services as needed


• Maintain timely, accurate clinical documentation while ensuring compliance with organizational policies, payer requirements, accreditation standards, and state regulations

For clinicians providing services in North Carolina, responsibilities may also include integrated care functions such as care coordination, health promotion, transitional care, and community resource linkage.

Qualifications

We welcome candidates who bring a passion for behavioral health and meet the following qualifications:

• Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling, or a related field required


• Must hold an associate license as an LCSWA or LCMHCA

Additional Qualifications

• Experience conducting behavioral health assessments, treatment planning, and therapeutic interventions preferred


• Strong knowledge of evidence-based treatment approaches, trauma‑informed care, and crisis intervention practices


• Excellent communication, documentation, collaboration, and relationship‑building skills


• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary treatment team while managing an active caseload


• Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and current vehicle insurance required for community‑based service delivery, when applicable
