Role Description

The Therapist at MindfullyWell Therapy will provide individual, couple, and teen counseling to a diverse client base in an on-site setting in Oakland, CA. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting intake assessments, developing treatment plans, facilitating ongoing therapy sessions, and maintaining detailed, timely clinical documentation. The role involves using evidence-based approaches, monitoring client progress, coordinating care with other providers when appropriate, and participating in regular supervision or case consultation. The Therapist will also contribute to an inclusive and welcoming environment, uphold ethical and legal standards, and engage in continuing education relevant to multicultural and trauma-informed care. This is a part-time on-site role based in Oakland, CA.

Qualifications

• Ability to provide individual, couple, and teen therapy using evidence-based and culturally responsive approaches.
• Ability to see at least 4-8 weekly clients in person at our Oakland office anytime Friday-Monday

• Strong skills in clinical assessment, treatment planning, and case conceptualization.
• Proficiency in maintaining accurate, confidential clinical records and documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
• Demonstrated commitment to multicultural competence, anti-oppressive practice, and serving diverse communities.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and active listening skills with clients, colleagues, and community partners.
• Ability to manage a part-time caseload on-site, maintain appropriate boundaries, and practice effective self-care.
• Current, unrestricted clinical license in California -LCSW
• Master’s or doctoral degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related mental health field.
• Experience working with couples, teens, and individuals from diverse cultural, racial, gender, and sexual orientation backgrounds; bilingual ability is a plus.
• Lived mutiracial, mulicultural or BIPOC experience
• Familiarity with trauma-informed care, relational approaches, and collaborative work within a group practice setting.
