Job summary

Youth Emergency Services, Inc. is seeking a licensed-eligible Therapist to deliver individual, group, and family therapy for children, youth, and families in Wyoming. The role emphasizes evidence-based practices, comprehensive assessments, and collaborative care with an interdisciplinary team.

Evening and weekend hours are required to meet client needs; flexible scheduling is essential for safety planning and crisis response within community and residential settings.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or a closely related human services field.
• Minimum of one (1) year of clinical experience providing individual, group, and family therapy.
• Must be license-eligible and actively pursuing licensure (e.g., LPC, LMFT, LCSW) in the State of Wyoming.
• Knowledge of trauma-informed care and evidence-based practices is preferred.
• Ability to pass required background checks and meet all agency hiring requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual, group, and family therapy sessions as prescribed by the treatment plan.
• Complete comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments and formulate accurate clinical diagnoses.
• Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the youth, family, and program team.
• Monitor therapeutic progress and update treatment goals as clinically indicated.
• Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential documentation in accordance with HIPAA, Medicaid, and agency standards.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings, case conferences, and treatment reviews.
• Provide crisis intervention and therapeutic support as needed, including safety planning.
• Collaborate with community providers, case managers, and program staff to coordinate services.
• Conduct outreach and aftercare services, including documentation of contacts and service outcomes.
• Attend required agency trainings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Adhere to all policies, procedures, and ethical standards of Youth Emergency Services, Inc., including confidentiality, professional boundaries, and mandatory reporting laws.
• Develop rapport with clients and families to create a safe therapeutic environment.
• Utilize a variety of evidence-based practices, including CBT, DBT, TF-CBT, and solution-focused therapy.
• Maintain professional licensure requirements, including continuing education and supervision hours.
• Advocate for client access to services and support systems in the community.
