Job summary

Clear Behavioral Health in El Monte, CA is seeking a licensed outpatient therapist to provide individual therapy, lead group sessions, and develop personalized treatment plans within a supportive recovery setting.

The role requires a Master’s degree and a minimum of 1 year of clinical experience with adults and teens; AMFT/LMFT/ACSW/LPCC eligible. On-site schedule is Mon/Wed/Fri 8:30am-5:00pm.

Qualifications

  • Registered Therapist status (AMFT, ACSW, APCC, LMFT, LCSW, LPCC, or equivalent).
  • Master’s degree required.
  • Minimum 1 year clinical experience with adults and adolescents.

Responsibilities

  • Provide intensive individual psychotherapy to clients.
  • Lead group psychotherapy sessions with topics based on client needs.
  • Manage up to 25 client-facing hours per week with up to 15 hours admin/non-billable.
  • Oversee care from admission to discharge.
  • Complete suicide risk assessments and Crisis Safety Plans for at-risk clients.
  • Support additional programs remotely or within driving distance.
  • Participate in weekly clinical meetings for planning and goals.
  • Create and update weekly treatment plans and meet deadlines.
  • Collaborate with counselors to coordinate care and address concerns.
  • Facilitate staff/client communication and maintain a safe recovery environment.
  • Model healthy boundaries; mentor other therapists.

We provide a full continuum of services, including detox, dual diagnosis treatment, residential and outpatient programs, and specialized mental health services, all delivered by a multidisciplinary team of experienced clinicians and support professionals. Our person-centered approach focuses on treating the whole individual, while empowering clients with the tools, structure, and support needed to achieve long-term recovery and lasting stability

Position Summary:

As a therapist for our outpatient you will provide professional mental health services to a variety of clients. This role involves delivering exceptional care to clients through individual and group therapy sessions, creating personalized treatment plans and fostering a supportive environment for mental health healing and growth.

Client Care and Psychotherapy
  • Provide intensive individual psychotherapy to clients.
  • Lead group psychotherapy sessions, developing topics based on client needs and evidence-based practices.
  • Manage and deliver up to 25 client-facing service hours per week, with up to 15 hours allocated for administrative and non-billable duties.
  • Responsible for the therapeutic care of clients from admission through discharge.
  • Complete suicide risk assessments and Crisis Safety Plans for all at-risk teen and adult clients.
  • May be expected to support additional programs or tracks, either remotely or at locations within driving distance.
Treatment Planning and Collaboration
  • Participate weekly in clinical meetings to assist in treatment planning and goal setting.
  • Create and update individualized weekly treatment plans and ensure all documentation deadlines are met.
  • Collaborate with other counselors to coordinate care, manage cases, and address client concerns.
Environment and Team Support
  • Facilitate connection, communication, and conflict resolution among staff and clients to maintain a safe and supportive recovery environment.
  • Demonstrate and model healthy emotional and physical boundaries for both staff and clients.
  • Assist in the training and mentorship of other Therapists.
Qualifications:
Education & Experience
  • Registered Therapist status (AMFT, ACSW, APCC, LMFT, LCSW, LPCC, or equivalent).
  • Hold a Master’s degree.
  • A minimum of 1 year's clinical experience, focusing on adult and adolescent mental health.
Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Demonstrated skill in planning and leading psychotherapy groups.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and adapt to the needs of diverse clients and staff.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and continuing education.
  • Ability to diagnose behavioral health problems and disorders and develop treatment plan based on a completed assessment.
  • Knowledge of diagnostic impressions or criteria.
  • Conduct ongoing assessments of patient progress.
  • Involve and advise family members when appropriate.
  • Knowledge of individual and group therapy techniques.
  • Ability to demonstrate clinical skills of empathy, joining, observation and assessment.
Pay:
  • Associate pay range is between $30-$38 per hour depending on experience, certifications, and hours accumulated.
Schedule:
  • The schedule is Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 830am-5pm fully on-site.
