Job summary

Family Pride of Northeast Ohio, Inc. is seeking a Clinical Therapist to deliver comprehensive mental health and substance use treatment across Lake, Geauga, and Ashtabula Counties.

Services are provided in home, schools, online, community, and office settings to best meet client needs. The ideal candidate will be compassionate, dependable, and collaborative, able to work across diverse families and professionals to help clients achieve meaningful progress toward goals.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree, master’s degree or Ph.D. in clinical counseling or social work from an accredited university.
  • Licensed as a clinical counselor or social worker (LSW, LISW/LPC, LPCC).
  • Excellent professional oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain positive interpersonal relationships with diverse individuals, families, and team members.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities with a demonstrated capacity to address complex individual and family needs.
  • Strong organizational skills and time management skills.
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards.

Responsibilities

POSITION PURPOSE/SUMMARY

Our Clinical Therapist provides comprehensive mental health and substance use disorder (SUD) treatment and prevention services to clients and their families. Our Clinical Therapist work with individuals and families throughout Lake, Geauga, and Ashtabula Counties, providing services in the home, schools, online, community, and office settings.

QUALIFICATIONS

WORK ENVIRONMENT & TRAVEL
  • Work Environment: This position operates primarily in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing systems. Occasional travel to community sites, partner organizations, and board meetings is required.
  • Physical Demands: The role requires the ability to sit or stand for extended periods, use hands to operate office equipment, and communicate effectively in person and via electronic means. Occasional lifting of materials up to 25 pounds may be required.
  • Sensory Requirements: Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing. Requires visual acuity to read and interpret documents, data, and computer screens.
  • Schedule and Hours: This is a full-time, exempt position. This position is expected to work a standard work week, with occasional evening or weekend hours to attend meetings, events, or to respond to urgent organizational needs.
  • Travel: The position requires local and regional travel to meetings, events, and partner sites. Occasional overnight travel may be necessary for conferences, training, or funder meetings. The Staff must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license issued by the State of Ohio, meet insurability requirements under the organization’s vehicle use policy, maintain appropriate auto insurance coverage, and have access to a reliable vehicle.
