Job summary

Personalized Nursing LIGHT House (PNLH) in Canton, MI, is seeking a qualified Primary Therapist to deliver trauma-informed, recovery-oriented care in a structured residential setting. This full-time role requires providing individual and group therapy to adults with substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders.

You will apply the LIGHT Model, collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, and maintain detailed clinical records while ensuring compliance with authorization and billing.

Qualifications

• Master's degree plus professional licensure (LLMSW/LMSW/LLPC/LPC, etc.).
• CADC/CAADC/MCBAP Development Plan or ability to obtain.
• Two years of experience in substance use disorder counseling.

Responsibilities

• Provide weekly individual therapy for adult clients.
• Facilitate group therapy weekly on TO BE DETERMINED topics.
• Use the LIGHT model in assessment, education, and counseling.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to identify and respond to client needs.
• Monitor service utilization and coordinate care with internal and external providers.
• Maintain accurate, up-to-date clinical records and documentation.
• Ensure compliance with authorization and billing requirements.
• Maintain client confidentiality and participate in case conferences.

Position Summary

As a Primary Therapist, you will deliver individual and group therapy to adult clients with substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders. You will use the LIGHT model to guide clinical decision-making and support clients in achieving sustainable recovery.

• Use the LIGHT model in assessment, education, and counseling
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to identify and respond to client needs
• Monitor service utilization and coordinate care with internal and external providers
• Maintain accurate, up-to-date clinical records and documentation
• Ensure compliance with authorization and billing requirements
• Maintain client confidentiality and participate in case conferences
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Required

• Master's degree and licensure (LLMSW, LMSW, LLPC, LPC, etc.)
• CADC, CAADC, or MCBAP Development Plan (support provided to obtain plan if not currently held)

Preferred

• Minimum two years of experience in substance use disorder counseling
• Training in trauma-informed care
• Familiarity with authorization processes for Michigan's PIHP system

Compensation

Competitive hourly rate up to $30.00, commensurate with education and experience
