Qualifications

• Certification as Therapeutic Recreation Director (TRD) is required.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive monthly activities calendar for a long-term care/memory care unit.
• Coordinate and lead therapeutic recreation programs addressing physical, cognitive, emotional, and social needs of residents.
• Complete MDS assessments, annual assessments, quarterly progress notes, and new admissions documentation.
• Participate in weekly care plan meetings and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team.
• Build relationships with residents and families, providing regular communication and support.
• Partner with nursing and clinical staff to enhance programming and resident outcomes.
• Evaluate program effectiveness and introduce innovative activities to increase engagement.
