Oceans Behavioral Hospital Abilene seeks an Activity Coordinator to assist in providing structured therapeutic recreational activities under the supervision of the CTRS, in line with Joint Commission and regulatory standards. You will participate in treatment planning, document in medical records, and collaborate with the treatment team to support patient progress.

Responsabilités

• Under the supervision of the CTRS, assists in providing therapeutic recreational activities in accordance with accepted standards of therapeutic recreation practice in a timely fashion as outlined by Joint Commission, Federal and State Regulations, and the Hospital's Mission statement and CQI monitors.
• Assists in planning and conducting individual and group activities as assigned by CTRS.
• Participates as an active member of the treatment team, attending meetings when necessary and reporting on assigned patients.
• Documents in a timely manner in the medical record.
• Communicates in an age/disability/culturally sensitive related manner to patients and their families.
• Assists in identifying safety, psychosocial, special mobility and special equipment needs under the direction of the CTRS.
• Under the direction of the CTRS, assists in conducting discharge planning in accordance with age/disability/cultural needs, and involving members of the patient's support system in decision making as appropriate.
• Responds to inquiry calls and assists in preforming chart audits.
• Assists in planning and conducting individual and group therapy assigned by CTRS, Administrator, or physician’s orders.
• Performs other duties and projects as assigned.
