Job summary

Therapeutic Radiologic Technologists deliver prescribed high doses of therapeutic radiation for cancer and abnormal growths, in coordination with radiation oncologists. You will assist in localization, simulation, treatment planning, and delivery using a linear accelerator and CT setup.

Responsibilities include maintaining accurate daily records, performing QA, ensuring patient safety, and supporting the treatment team to optimize treatment times.

Qualifications

• Must have completed an education program meeting standards and be ARRT (T) certified.
• Must meet credentialing standards and VA policy for radiologic procedures.
• Proficient in English, with proper licensure and certification.

Responsibilities

• Deliver prescribed high doses of therapeutic radiation for cancer and other growths.
• Perform CT simulations and treatment planning.
• Maintain detailed daily records of treatments and doses.
• Ensure safety per ALARA and radiation safety procedures.
• Coordinate with clinicians and other staff for timely treatments.
• Perform emergency on-call treatments when needed.
