Job summary

EveryMind Inc. is seeking a Therapeutic Mentor to join the Bridge to Wellness team in the School-Based Services department.

You will provide structured one-to-one strength-based support to children, developing treatment plans with families to support social-emotional growth across 2–4 school communities in Montgomery County. The role emphasizes collaboration with Care Managers, Mental Health Therapists, and school partners, offering supervision and flexible scheduling with some remote work

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, social services, or related field required.
  • Minimum of 1 year of relevant social-emotional wellness and mentoring experience with youth and families.
  • Experience with community, school, or social services programming preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Recruit and retain eligible youth and families for school-day, after-school, and community mentoring activities.
  • Plan and facilitate in-person or virtual activities, coaching, training, and services with youth.
  • Conduct regular assessments with stakeholders to develop intensive care coordination plans.
  • Collaborate with Therapeutic Mentor and school-based therapist on coordination and plans.
  • Implement evidence-based practices and individualize activities for diverse needs.
  • Maintain compliance with contracts, data, and productivity requirements.
  • Participate in supervision and professional development to ensure quality and equity.

This role supports 2-4 school communicaties across mid-montgomery county. Therapeautic Mentors will join a behavioral health team composed of Care Managers, Mental Health Therapists, fellow Therapeutic Mentors, and school partners. The Therapeutic Mentor works in tandem with teammates to provide structured one-to-one strength-based support services to children to address daily social-emotional needs. This includes supporting, coaching, and training children and youth in age-appropriate behaviors including interpersonal communication, problem-solving, social engagement, self-esteem, conflict resolution, and relating appropriately with youth and adults.The Therapeutic Mentor develops a behavioral health treatment plan with the family and youth where possible. This plan helps to ensure the youth’s success in navigating various social situations, learning new skills, and making functional progress while the therapeutic mentor offers supervision of interactions and engages the youth in discussions about strategies for their effective use.This position offers a unique opportunity to make an impact in the lives of children, and families across multiple school communities in mid-Montgomery County. Analyzes outcomes and processes evaluations and makes service adjustments accordingly.Maintains compliance with assigned contract(s) including:Meeting all data/productivity requirements.Maintaining minimum caseload requirements.Timely and thorough completion of program reporting.Participates in regular supervision and ongoing professional development to evaluate and improve the quality of youth development services provided and ensured that services are culturally appropriate and equitable for clients.Other duties as assigned.Supervision to be exercised:Occasional supervision of interns and volunteers.Supervision to be received:Reports to Manager, ProgramEducation:Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, social services, or related field required.Experience:A minimum of 1 year of relevant social emotional wellness and mentoring experience working with adolescents and families.
