The Therapeutic Mentor

assists our young clients, who exhibit behavioral challenges, develop and practice positive communication, anger management, and conflict resolution skills in the home and community-based setting. The position allows for flexibility with scheduling, excellent benefits, and many opportunities for advancement.

Duties

• Teaching positive communication skills, practice anger management skills and practice conflict resolution skills.
• Identifying and helping clients engage in positive community activities (examples: volunteerism, part-time employment, recreational sports, etc.).
• Psychoeducation on wellness topics including nutrition, hygiene and physical activity.
• Service coordination with medical professionals, treatment providers and other service professionals involved with their clients (i.e. court personnel, psychiatrists, or other community representatives) to ensure continuity of care.

Additional Requirements

• Valid Driver's License and at least 1 year of licensed driving experience.
