Job summary

Qualifications

• Must hold current Michigan OT license.
• Minimum of 3 years occupational therapy experience.
• Previous supervisory or leadership experience.
• Proficient with computer programs and creative media.
• Ability to manage patients with different personalities.
• Commitment to ongoing learning and growth in the profession.
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support Occupational Therapist staff.
• Co-supervise the Community Support Advocate team with the Clinical Supervisor.
• Oversee event planning, resident engagement, and community coordination to help residents stay active, connected and emotionally supported.
• Provide clinical guidance, mentorship, training, and performance evaluations for staff.
• Utilize therapeutic activities and structured programming to support residents' emotional, behavioral, cognitive, and social development goals.
• Develop and implement therapeutic and recreational programs that encourage socialization, independence, relaxation, skill development, and participation in activities of daily living.
• Promote resident engagement through meaningful therapeutic, social, recreational, and cognitive activities designed to enhance quality of life, emotional wellness, independence, and overall functioning.
• Ensure all occupational therapy services are delivered in accordance with state, federal, and company regulations.
• Review assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and documentation for accuracy and compliance.
• Monitor caseload distribution, productivity, and scheduling to ensure efficient service delivery.
• Participate in quality assurance initiatives, audits, and performance improvement activities.
• Address resident, family, and staff concerns professionally and promptly.
• Flexibility and commitment to work the hours and times required to perform the responsibilities of the job, including evenings and weekends.
• Utilize all communication tools including FIN.
• Maintain and advocate for all residents' rights.
