ArtCosima is looking for people who can be trained as interns and then hired as independent contractors to teach group art classes with seniors.
The right person must be gentle, patient, compassionate, and comfortable working with seniors. The classes are therapeutic in nature, and interns will be trained on how to use art in a therapeutic way when working with seniors.
Experience working with seniors and/or teaching art is preferred but not required.
Lesson plans will be provided, and instructors will be trained on the lessons before teaching the classes. All materials will be provided.
Most classes will be 30 minutes, with opportunities for longer classes.
Each facility has unique needs, which will be explained during the training. Most classes will require signing in and out of facilities as an employee of ArtCosima, set up, clean up, and helping seniors to the table.
