Organization: DEVCOM Army Research Laboratory (ARL)
Role: Research Associate – ARL-RAP (Army Research Laboratory Research Associateship Program)
Overview
We seek a Research Associate to develop theory‑driven Big Data approaches for predicting human behavior in real‑world conditions. The work combines traditional theoretical models with data‑driven predictive modeling to deliver actionable insights.
Responsibilities
- Develop and advance a general framework for theory‑driven Big Data approaches.
- Collect, preprocess, and analyze large datasets to create, adapt, and test new methodologies.
- Implement proof‑of‑concept methods, evaluate their advantages and limitations.
- Prepare research proposals and submit to the ARL‑RAP review panel.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate insights from human and computational sciences.
Qualifications & Eligibility
- Master's or Doctoral degree in Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, Data Science, Cognitive Sciences, or related fields.
- Experience in large‑scale data analysis, statistical modeling, and machine learning.
- Strong research background and ability to bridge human‑behavior theory with computational methods.
