Job summary

LEGOLAND New York, operated by Merlin Entertainments, seeks a seasonal Ride Operator to greet guests, monitor ride safety, and manage queues with a team-focused approach.

The role requires an 18+ applicant who can work 7:30am–7:00pm on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and some holidays, outdoors in all weather, and fluent English. Pay is $17.25 per hour for a part-time seasonal position.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must be available 7:30am - 7:00pm on Friday, Saturday and Sunday and some holidays.
• Fluent in verbal and written English.
• Able to work outside in all weather conditions, including standing for extended periods.
• 65 feet eyesight range (with glasses or contact lenses if necessary).
• Ability to hear others even if they’re not visible (with hearing aids if necessary).

Responsibilities

• Greet guests with a smile and assist them on rides and play structures safely.
• Ensure guests board and exit rides safely and manage standard and fast-track queues.
• Work as a team to address safety concerns or issues quickly.
• Help keep coasters full of happy riders.
• Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a smooth guest experience.

Qualifications & Experience

What we're looking for:

• A fun, energetic personality
• You must be at least 18 or older at the time of your application
• Availability - Must be available 7:30am - 7:00pm on Friday, Saturday and Sunday and some Holidays.
• Flexibility - including evenings, weekends, and holidays to support our exciting events,
• Ability to work outside in all weather conditions, including standing and walk for extended periods
• You must be fluent in verbal and written English
• 65 feet eyesight range (with glasses or contact lenses if necessary)
• Ability to hear other Model Citizens even if they're not visible (with hearing aids if necessary)

Pay Range: $17.25 per hour

This is a seasonal, Part-Time role.
