Job summary

Six Flags Over Georgia in Austell, GA is seeking an Industrial Controls Electrician for the Ride Maintenance Department. The role focuses on the safe repair and maintenance of amusement rides, with full-time, hourly, non-exempt status under a Collective Bargaining Agreement.

You will inspect rides, diagnose and repair PLCs, AC/DC drives, transformers and motors, read schematics, log maintenance activities, and respond to work orders to keep the park operating safely.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of PLC systems maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Experience installing and repairing electrical equipment.
• State Journeyman’s license preferred but not required
• Ability to meet deadlines
• English proficiency
• Able to lift up to 100 lbs and work at heights up to 200 ft
• Knowledge of OSHA rules and regulations
• Ability to work outside in any weather conditions, nights, weekends and holidays
• Valid Drivers’ License and clean DMV report
• Employees are required to supply their own hand tools.

Responsibilities

• Inspect rides and notify management of hazards.
• Maintain inspection and maintenance programs per standards.
• Maintain, repair and troubleshoot theme park rides and attractions.
• Diagnose malfunctioning drives, PLC systems, transformers, motors, lighting fixtures.
• Diagnose and repair faulty electrical components such as relays and wiring.
• Read and interpret drawings and schematics provided.
• Keep daily duty logs and preventative maintenance records.
• Respond to work orders and conduct electrical repairs as required.
• Adhere to park policies and procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.
